Introduction to Mandala
First Wednesday of the month, May 7, 2008, 11:30am–3pm. “We will explore the cultural tradition of Mandala painting world wide, and do introductory exercises using black paper and prismacolor pencils. You will discover your own personal symbols of expression using the circle form which represents coming from your heart center.” Your facilitator is Judith Bloch, who has been painting Mandalas for 12 years. Art Marketing: Create Your Own “Gallery without Walls” *new
Saturday, May 31, 2008, 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm. Workshop with local art rep and author Margaret Danielak. With traditional galleries closing every day, you need to know how to sell your art with or without gallery representation. At this workshop, you'll learn: how to increase your sales with a merchant account; close sales by dealing effectively with buyers’ objections; use cross promotion, press & postcards to promote your artwork; and sell your work in alternative venues and in innovative, cost effective ways. Handmade Charm Bracelet * new
With Tally Oliveau. Monday, May 5, 2008, 7–10pm. Fee $49. Join Tally Oliveau in making a completely handmade bracelet – charms and all. You will use copper wire, stones, crystals, metal, and special beads from Tally’s personal collections to create a one-of-a-kind charm bracelet. Learn about annealing, hammering, and antiquing wire.
