Description
Each week I hold a Saturday morning art class at VIVA for kids age 5 and up. My structure is a pay-as-you-go system, with a price of $20 per class. No long-term commitment is required, so parents may choose to come one week and not the next.
The art projects vary from week to week. Interested parents may sign up for my email notices (at kbarbro@pacbell.net) sent out mid-week each week, which announce the lesson for the upcoming class. RSVPs from those intending to come are requested.
Personally, one my main attractions to teaching art is that there are so just so many possibilities. Whether it’s watercolors, oil pastels, folk-art dolls, or art journals; I strive to connect students to the joy of creating, be it fine art or fine craft.
Just a few of the topics that I've covered recently have included: marbled paper, Da Vinci drawing, clay jewelry, mosaic boxes, safety pin bracelets, Van Gogh collage and watercolor weaving.There are just too many things we can make, for class to ever get boring!
